I know you are getting the BEST care possible at Sloan Kettering-- it is an amazing hospital! A close friend of mine was treated for relapsed leukemia there, and I recently raised $8500 for pediatric cancer research at Sloan in her memory. It is so inspiring to read about Alyssa! Since she has been treated at Sloan Kettering ,I was wondering if you thought there would be anything that could make the experience of families dealing with childhood cancer more bearable? I would love to take on another project to benefit Sloan Kettering and if you had a chance to email me and tell me what you thought they could use (i.e books? games? gift cards for parents? toys for siblings?) that would be great! But I know you have a lot going on so if you don't have time to, don't worry about it and just tell Alyssa that a 17 year old girl in CT is saying extra prayers for her! :) |

| Comments: | I am Alyssa's ballet teacher at premier. I had heard someone at the christmas show mention that one of my little girls had cancer. It had never been mentioned to me so I assumed that it was a rumour. I saw something tonight that caught my eye at the studio..a business card of some sort. I was taken back and immediately felt compassion for this sweet little girl. I am sorry that she has to go through this. I will be praying for her continually!!! I love her deeply and I know she will be able to use this as a huge witness and miracle story for the people she will meet in her. Thank you for allowing her to be in my class. It is a privallege. I wish that her parents would have tried what you have done for your daughter. It sounds like it is working. When were the treatments started on your daughter. I know it wont make a difference for this little girl however one could hope. I am glad your little girl is suffering like she is. |
